DATE: Saturday, December 7, 2024

TIME: Volunteers arrive at the prison at 10am and depart by 3:30pm.

LOCATION: La Vista Correctional Facility, Pueblo, CO

RSVP: Volunteers must submit registration form to Alicia Reeves no later than Sunday, October 13.

• All volunteers must pass a Department of Corrections criminal background check.

2021 Valentine's Gift Bags to Women in Prison

WHAT:

• PACKING 300 Valentine's Gift bags for the inmates in the women's prison in Pueblo

• PRAYING over the bags and for the women

• Learning more about how to be involved in the prison ministry

• And, if the Lord leads, you may GIVE toward the cost of the gift bags ($10 each) at frontrangealliance.org/giving(select the Prison Ministry designation)

If you aren't familiar with our prison ministry, for the past four years we have had a team of FRAC ladies who lead a Bible study for incarcerated mothers at the women's prison in Pueblo every Thursday night. Due to COVID-19, we have been locked out of the prison since March 12. All volunteer programs were suspended with no word yet on when they will resume.

Where we cannot go, we know that the Spirit of God goes in power, so we keep praying for the inmates we know as well as all the others in the prison.

While we cannot go in, we have been given permission to bless EVERY inmate in the prison with a very special Valentine's gift bag - filled with a gourmet chocolate chip cookie, hot chocolate packets, assorted candies, coloring pages & colored pencils, and a devotional about the love of God.

2020 Thanksgiving Cards to Moms in Prison

Thanks for encouraging a mom in prison with this simple gift of a Thanksgiving card!

READ THIS BEFORE YOU PURCHASE THANKSGIVING CARDS

1. Complete the form below before purchasing Thanksgiving cards.

2. Cards must be store-bought; no handmade cards. Walmart & Dollar Tree typically have a good selection of Thanksgiving cards.

3. Cards may not have glitter or glue on them.

4. You will be given the name (or names) of a specific inmate mom in a reply email. Please pray that the Lord will give you the right words & some verses to share, then write a note of encouragement being careful to not include any personal information about yourself (how many kids you have, where you live, your job, etc.).

5. Place your card(s) in the envelope but do not seal the envelope.

6. Sign your FIRST NAME only.

7. Deliver your card(s) to the FRAC office no later than the end of the day on Thursday, November 19. (If you do not live in Colorado Springs, mailing instructions will be emailed to you.)

Hannah's Gift Graduation!

You are invited to the Hannah's Gift Graduation at La Vista Correctional Facility!

Come worship and celebrate with the inmate moms who complete the 2019-2020 Hannah's Gift Bible study. You will be blessed by the testimonies & fellowship and you will be a blessing!
